Terms and conditions for Tea Parties/China Hire

 

Vintage Tea Parties & China Hire Terms & Conditions.

The hire period for crockery and accessories from Crafty Creations Sheffield will be agreed at the time of booking but will usually be 1- 4 days dependent on the day/date of the event.  Any extension to the hire period must be agreed in advance, and the customer will be charged an extra fee. Please ask for a quotation for longer periods of hire.

The goods shall at all times remain the property of Crafty Creations Sheffield

The customer is solely accountable for the goods during the period of hire.  From the time the goods are delivered, collected and accepted back into the possession of Crafty Creations Sheffield

It is expected that due to the age and vintage nature of the items, some of the pattern and gild edges may be worn with age. 

Delivery and Collection

Delivery is usually made one day before your event, then collected the day after your event. (China/Glassware)

Full vintage Tea Parties are delivered on the same day as required.  Minimum order of £96 for fully catered Vintage Tea Parties. Matching and mainly mismatched china is used.  

Charges 

£6 for delivery and £6 for collection apply if within 10 miles of our base in the S6 area.  If the order is outside the 10 mile radius a small delivery charge of 60p per extra mile will be applicable. The customer is able to collect/return the goods to avoid any delivery charges. Please arrange this on booking. Please note our services are for within a 30 mile radius of our S6 base.

If you would like Crafty Creations to set up/style your table/pack away the china a charge of £25 per hour applies. 

When the goods are delivered to the customer, the customer is responsible for inspecting the goods and signing the delivery note. In the event of any shortages or damage, the customer shall note this on the delivery note at the time of collection/delivery. If the customer fails to do this, the goods will be deemed to have been collected/delivered in a clean and undamaged condition. If there is no one available to check the items, again the items will be deemed to have been collected/delivered in a clean and undamaged condition.

When the crockery is collected it should be properly packed as delivered/collected. If we feel the crockery is not safe for transit and has to be re-packed, this will incur additional charges of £10 per hour spent re-packing.  Please make sure you place bubble wroap/foam/paper between all plates and use the packaging supplied.

Wash Up Service

All goods supplied by Crafty Creations Sheffield are clean and ready to use. You have two options, let ourselves do the washing up, or if you have washing up facilities, you may do this yourself. Please note that all items are STRICTLY WASHED BY HAND and cannot be put in a dishwasher or any other commercial machine.  A washing up service is available at £10 per 20 guests. 

If you decide to let Crafty Creations Sheffield wash up for you, all excess food should be carefully removed from plates and cake stands, cups should be rinsed and all cutlery should be rinsed. I.e. No butter, cream, sugar, milk deposits should be left on the crockery or cutlery. Should this not be done we reserve the right to make a surcharge for additional cleaning. This additional cleaning will be charged at a further 5% of the total hire fee.

Please understand that the vintage crockery is much more fragile than commercial catering crockery, and it is your responsibility to inform your caterer/venue should you use our hired items outside of your home, to ensure minimal breakages. Please take extra care when handling, stacking, washing up and re packing the crockery. To avoid paying damage fees.

Any table linen hired must be free of food before being folded and packed. Any bad stains/tears etc will have to be deducted for out of the damage deposit..

Terms of Payment & Cancellation

A deposit of 50% of the total hire value will be required to secure your booking. Once received we will confirm your order in writing.

Final payment must be made at least 21 days prior to the event date. Unfortunately, if this is not received the booking will not be able to proceed, and any deposit will not be refunded.

Deposits will also not be refunded if orders are cancelled less than 21 days before the hire date. If a cancellation is made before this time 20% of your deposit will be charged.

Important Please Note: In addition to the hire costs, a refundable breakage/damage and loss deposit of £100/£150 will also be required at the time of final payment. The deposit may be more or less depending on your total order.

This will be returned once your hire order has been returned and checked for any damage or loss of items. You will be informed within 5 working days if there are any damaged/missing items to your order. Shortages or damage to the hired goods will be charged accordingly and deducted from the damage deposit. If you break/damage more items than the damage deposit covers, you will be billed for any extra costs and this must be paid within 5 working days. Damage deposits will be returned within 10 working days, either in full or deducted accordingly to any breakages.

We kindly ask you to ask your venue/caterer, that if they break an item(s) of china that they keep the broken item(s) so we can identify what is missing from your order.

Liability:      

At no time does Crafty Creations Sheffield accept liability in the event of any injury, or damage to property caused by our hired items, however they are caused. They are hired entirely at your own risk. We therefore recommend that you take out your own event insurance. 

 Hire

Standard hire period of china/glassware only is 1-3 days. Longer periods can be arranged for an additional charge.

The hired items remain the property of Crafty Creations Sheffield at all times, and are the responsibility of the hirer throughout the duration of hire.

We want you to be entirely happy with your package, so orders can be, within reason, be amended up to 14 days before your event.  We will try to accommodate

any changes but regrettably these cannot always be guaranteed.

Crockery

Most of our crockery is mix and match, therefore we cannot guarantee specific colours or sizes, we will, however, discuss any theme or preferences with you and aim to supply the most appropriate items.

Terms and Conditions

We reserve the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time. Please check back regularly because the amended Terms and Conditions will apply to your continued use of the website and/or order.

All our items are authentic and not reproduction. Due to the age of the crockery there may be slight wear on the guilt edges and silver plating, and our linen may have an occasional ageing blemish. If linens are returned after hire with unreasonable stains we will have to deduct replacement costs from your £100/£150 deposit.  If after our post collection check, damaged items exceed the deposit paid, an invoice will be sent out. A charge will be deducted from the ‘damage deposit’ for any breakages, loss and damages as follows:
